What costs and expenses should I anticipate at the closing when I purchase a property?

You should find out from your lender what their charges are for points, commitment fees, escrows for taxes and insurance, application fees, and any other fees. The lender is required to give a good faith estimate of these fees and charges. You will also have to pay for title insurance. The charge is based on the cost of the property. Other charges include document recording fees, survey, if necessary, and possibly miscellaneous fees. All the fees will be explained during our first conference.
